Tapo P300 not reconnecting to Wifi, without power cycle.

Firmware Version: 1.016 Build 240529 Rel. 150326

Hi there,

My internet went down whilst out and I noticed all my Tapo stuff showed as Offline.

The internet came back up by itself, and all my Tapo lights,switches,magnetic switches, hubs, cameras, P110's etc, all came back online by themselves, except my two P300 boards.

When I checked, they were passing power as in the previous state, but the system LED indicator was solid orange. I had to power cycle both P300 to get them back online, whereas all the other Tapo stuff automatically came back online when the internet returned.

Can this be looked at by an firmware upgrade?

All Tapo stuff have the latest firmware and latest Tapo App at time of writing.

Don't worry, this is not a common issue. Typically, the device will automatically reconnect to WiFi and restore its network connection after a power or internet outage. In rare cases, it may fail to reconnect. If this happens, a manual restart of either the device or the router may be required.
