This might be another issue unrelated to this post if your device is Tapo C420. Check the SD card status, try to reinsert the SD card. Format the SD card and monitor whether the problem will reoccur (backup the videos to a computer if there are important contents).

Hi all, i alo have the same issue where, when the 512GB Sandisk High Endurance SD Card is full i see only the screen grabs but i cannot play the video and i noticed the recording is not recording anymore but it still detects and provide screen grabs on the bottom list but i cannot play it with a black screen.

 

I noticed this is a issue with everyone when i googled this issue.

 

The people affected all have the latest update build and are wired with loop recording turned on.

 

In order to get back the continuous recording i have to reformat the SD card to become empty again. So when the SD card is full it stpos recording sop there's an issue with loop recording here and not the issue with the SD Cards.

 

Can we have a resolution to this matter urgently please?

Unfortunately this Problem occurs for me without a full SD card! In fact, the problem happened yesterday again  - and my sd card was only 14% full.

I then need to format SD card and restart the device to get it to work again.

Also - what is annoying me a lot - the App seems to be quite laggy. Many times to recorded videos do not load before I restart de device.
My wifi connection is perfect and my wifi network is very reliable.
