Smart Automations
Smart automation issue.
Devices are all up to date.
Tapo S220B smart button
Smart Plugs P110
Smart board P300
Scenario 1.
1st Automation: When: Tapo S200B single tap, Then: P110 (Plug 1) Turn On/Off.
2nd Automation: When P110 (Plug 1) turns On, Then: P110 (Plug 2) Turn On for 2 secs, Plus run other shortcuts.
So in Scenario 1, tapping S200B turns Plug 1 On/Off, and when it turns on, it activates the 2nd automation to turn Plug 2 on for 2 secs, and runs other shortcuts.
Scenario 2.
1st Automation: When: Tapo S200B single tap, Then: P300 (Plug 1) Turn On/Off .
2nd Automation: When P300 (Plug 1) turns On, Then: P300 (Plug 2) Turn On for 2 secs, and run other shortcuts.
So in Scenario 2, tapping S200B turns Plug 1 On/Off, and when it turns on, it does not activate the 2nd automation to turn Plug 2 on for 2 secs, and doesn't run other shortcuts.
I you manually turn P300 (Plug 1) on, then Plug 2 turns on for 2 secs, and other shortcuts run.
So the Automations are the same, just with different hardware. The second automation, if activated by the first, in scenario 2, doesn't work with the P300, only the individual P110.
Could a software/firmware fix this?
Regards
Paul
Edit: was able to get around it with P300 by tidying up/rewriting the automation.
