I would like to find out if you can use a Tapo Smart Button, to send an emergency message if you need help, we would like to give an elderly person the ability to notify us should they need help as we live very far away from them, any recommendations?

Through automation, you can use smart button to send an App notification when it is physically triggered. For example, the automation can be set like this, When single tap Tapo S200B, Then send a notification "Need help". This will be a standard app push notification but you can customize the content of the notification.

It should be noted that the automation is mainly a cloud feature, so a stable network connection is required if you want to use this feature.
