D235 doorbell showing solid orange but not resetting when pressing the reset button
Just installed new tapo d235 doorbell in hardwired mode yesterday. After 15 hours doorbell is offline in the app. I tried resetting by pressing reset for 10 seconds but nothing happens like and its still solid orange. Tried powering it on but not responding.
The wifi network used is working perfectly fine with internet on other devices. I didn't change any dns or internet settings on the router/modem
What's the solution?

I also get solid amber light and it's showing offline quite often. A c310 and c510w works fine during this time. The D235 Is battery powered and connected to a Deco mesh network. There it looks like it has good connection though.
The latest software is installed of course.
It has been like this since I installed it a half year ago.
This really needs to be fixed.

Hi all,
looking for a solution on my new doorbell (D235) bought last week and installed yesterday. All worked fine, settings done, all worked perfect - Information send when some enter the area to monitor and the Bell is working as well when someone rings on the door.
this morning, no notifications anymore. Checking the doorbell, Ivan See how the coloring is changing from white to red to amber back to white. And this in a Circle every Minute.
checking the App, shows doorbell with powerstatus but no Setting can be chnaged anymore or checken, getting the info - instabile Network or Network error.
reseting (seems even not to work), restarting- nothing helps.
fimeware version 1.1.14 build 240929 Rel. 63130n
I can See on my Router the Connection of the doorbell is there with 65mbit. Enable device Monitoring I See Even a reconnect of the Dividende into Internet every min
Reading all your posts, it sounds very likely an software or device issue.
I have stable and fast internet connection with 400down/200up MBIT.
all devices are working Fine witzige any wifi disconnects or any internet interruptions.
as additional note, I have also 4 c425 cams and they work also fine without any issues.
will try my luck with tech Support tomorrow morning.

Is your camera hardwired powered? Please check the voltage on the doorbell when the problem occurs. Alternatively, switch the doorbell to battery-powered, see if the problem persists.

When you reset the doorbell, does the LED indicator on the camera change in any way? If it does, your situation is not the issue discussed in this thread.
An orange LED indicates a failure to connect to the cloud, which means remote management is not possible. However, if you access the device while connected to the local WiFi, you should still be able to see that the device is online.
For the remote control failure issue, check the suggestion here in Case 2. Cannot use the Tapo app to control my smart devices

When you reset the doorbell, does its LED indicator show any change? If this issue can be resolved by rebooting the router or the doorbell, and the doorbell can be reset normally, then your situation is not the case discussed in this article.
The orange LED indicates remote control failure. For such an issue, please refer to the suggestions here in Case 2. Cannot use the Tapo app to control my smart devices

Does the doorbell LED show any changes when you reset it? For example, blinking red quickly?
To reset the Tapo D235: Press and hold the SYNC/RESET button for 5 seconds.
