Connection indicates as 100Mb instead 1000Mb
Hi,
I pulled CAT7 cables in my new house.
All checked that using a ping tool that indicated that pinout is good.
I have a 265HD Wifi device that works OK, powered using POE.
when it conneted to Switch using my test cable ( about 2 meters long), it show a green light on switch that indicates it rans on 1000MB/s.
But when it is connected to my wall plug ( same cable, same plug, tested the same ) - it shows an "orange" light, indicates that it rans on 100Mb/s.
Automatically one can say that I have a problem with the cable, but:
1. Cable passes test as described above.
2. when I connect a laptop to the same wall plug - it shows 1000Mb/s connection
What can it be ?

As you can see, port 3 is orange before change.
After change suggested, port 3 is disconnected (after reboot, tried with and without "force authorize").
Suggestion does not work.

if the port is disconnected after you set 1000Mbps, there is a fault with the cable or the access point. try connecting the access point directly to the switch with a short patch cable. if you get 1000Mbps then the cable is broken.
I see port 3 provides power to the access point but not data after you locked the port to 1000Mbps. if I have to guess, there is a fault on one of the pairs in the cable, therefore only 100Mbps

I missed that you have already tested with a short cable. sorry :-) how long is the cable from the switch to the access point?

it says nothing about cable length on the cable that doesn't work, but regardless, there is a fault between the switch and the access point. there is no doubt about that. so I suggest you check again. since you get 1000Mbps on a short 2 meter patch cable, the access point is fine.

For some unexplained behaviour (since cheked several times as posted at start).
I decided to take my second, still not mounted yet, 265HD for a much further location on second story (50m of cable)as a test for affect of long cable. Surprisingly - it got a "green" light. So I was happy to know that distance is not an issue. So I crossed between 2nd AP and 1st AP... and another surprise again - both of them are "green"!!!
So after many hours of debug (including handing laptop on a ceiling to verify 1Gb/s is reacheable).... everything now is as planned.

There is a possibility that the cable does not work well at long distances.
Don't have any other advice but recommend checking the cable. Avoid bending over. This is the physical level when the electric pulse does not transmit well, it could send a degradation signal to the switch so it falls back to 100Mbps.
