Camera spoke "please format your sd card according to app guidelines"

... or something like that.
It happened two weeks ago suddenly and keeps on happening all the time now when camera sees motion.
Thing is, that if I unplug it,then plug it and turn it on, and let it not record me, I can access all my old footage on it.
But once camera notices me, it ALWAYS says this line with camera voice, and forces me to format it, and I can no longer access old camera footage, it acts as if I have never recorded anything on that sd card.
It also doesnt record me anymore, just throws me a notification that something was recorded.
But once I unplug it, and once again plug it in and turn it on, I once again can access my old footage, I see all the dates and recordings, just not any footage since the day it started saying this.
1.So, has my sd card been corrupted? Is this common?
2. Or is it possible that someone might have accessed my sd card, perhaps switched it with new one? But then again, on new one there would be old footage, so not sure, unless that person copied all that old footage onto new one.
3. Weird thing is,that I was always keeping all notifications without deleting them, but today, they all have disappeared, only one remained, newest one. Is it possible that some update deleted all old notifications? Does that happen? Or what is the explanation?

Hi,
1. The phenomenon is not common. In this case, please let me know the model number, format, and capacity of your SD card. You can refer to the instructions below to verify your SD card and please send me a picture of the test result.
How to Verify Fake Micro SD Cards?
2. The error message does not mean someone else has access to your SD card.
If you insert a new SD card into the camera, it won't have the old footage. The new SD card will be required to be formatted before use on the camera, so the old footage can't be stored on a new SD card.
3. I'm not sure why the notifications are deleted, you can check if you did something before it happened, such as clean caches on your phone, clear data for the Tapo app, etc.
4. Please ensure the camera's firmware and the Tapo app are up to date and then check if it helps.

2. So, is it not possible to copy videos from old sd card onto new one, insert it in camera, and browse old footage through Tapo app? I would not be able to access that footage from an app?
I am able to access this footage on my card because it was once formatted into format that my camera requires?
3. I receive notifications about movement. I never delete these notifications, but yesterday I checked and they were all gone, except for the newest one. Issue with the notifications is not issue with the card itself? If someone exchanged my card, they would not disappear, but would still be visible, right?
Reason why I lost them might have been cache, or maaybe an update of an app, right?
4. What does Reset button on camera do? Does it factory reset whole camera, or could that be behind my disappeared notifications on phone?
Thanks

Hi,
1. Yes, it's impossible to copy the videos from an old SD card into a new one, insert it into the camera, and browse the videos via the Tapo app. This is because when you insert the new SD card into the camera, the camera will ask to format the SD card before using it.
However, you can copy the important videos from the old SD card to your PC and store them on your PC.
2. The issue with the notifications is not related to the SD card, if your factory reset the camera, the notifications will disappear.

So, the reset button on camera is used to factory reset (hard reset) the camera?
What happens then? Would I lose access to my camera with my phone and have to set up camera again from the beginning like I did for the very first time?
Because I have access to my camera with my phone, camera has not disappeared from Tapo app, has same name, is connected to internet, has same access, only thing that disappeared are notifications that I had set up for movement, does that mean that camera was not factory reset via that button?
Also I just realized I have Tapo Camera c200, not c210.
Edit:
I found this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lub7kMWXCjA
This is factory reset of camera, camera disappeared from an app completely/got deleted it you held the RESET button for longer.
Not my case, since I have my camera still as it was in my app, so, my camera was not factory reseted, right?
What if you just held this button for a second, would normal reset (or a reboot, and not factory one) happen, or nothing would happen at all? If normal reset happened, would notifications disappear or stay?

Hi,
1. Yes, the reset button is used to factory reset the camera. If you have reset the camera successfully, you will lose access to your camera and need to set it up again to make it work.
If you press the reset button for a second, the normal reset or reboot won't happen. If a normal reset happens, the notifications will disappear usually.
2. It's hard to locate the reason why the notification disappeared based on the existing information. If you want to continue troubleshooting, I will send you the Tapo debug app. And if the problem recurs later, you can collect the app log for further analysis.

Thank you, so, I would have to reboot the camera through my app for notifications to disappear, right?
In other words, reason why notifications disappeared had nothing to do with SD card itself or RESET button on camera. They would disappear only if I had factory reseted the camera, which in my case it did not happen.
Disappearance of notifications had to do only with my mobile phone then, or an app itself on my phone basically, and not possible physical manipulation of the camera, is that correct? :)
Thanks.

Hi,
1. Rebooting the camera via the app won't make the notification disappear.
2. The reason why notifications disappeared had nothing to do with the SD card or RESET button on the camera. However, factory resetting the camera will make the notification disappear.
3. I confirmed the information with the relevant team, the notifications on the Tapo app will be stored for up to 5 days and then disappear automatically, which means you can't see the old notifications received more than 5 days.

Thanks, can you please confirm if there are other possible reasons?
My notifications disappeared probably on 1.8, last thursday. That is the day that my Tapo app received mobile phone update.
Maybe it was a bug, or update was bigger and caused them to disappear?
I believe I had notifications even during the days befoire 1.8.

Hi,
Usually, updating the Tapo app won't make the notifications disappear. However, uninstalling the Tapo app and reinstalling the Tapo app a day later may cause all notifications to disappear. Another possible reason for the old notification to disappear is that one kind of notification (such as motion-detected notifications) is more than 128 items, and then the oldest one will disappear.
If your notification disappearance does not belong to these known situations, and you want to continue troubleshooting, please let me know, and I can provide you with the Tapo debug app.And then after reproducing the problem, please collect the app log for further analysis.
