Firmware updating always hangs up
I just got my C211 yesterday, installed, configured and then tried to update the firmware to 1.3.11. Waited for an hour and its still saying updating so i restarted it.Then tried to update it again and just left it until today, so around 10hrs+ still saying firmware updating.
My internet connection is good and stable. I have a c200 and its updating without any issue.
Can anyone help me with this? Its annoying to have a popup telling me to do firmwy update every time I open the tapo app.

Hi,
Please try the following steps for the reported case.
1. Make sure your Tapo app is up to date. You can uninstall the Tapo app and reinstall the latest one from Google Play or App Store.
2. Reboot the Tapo C211, move it close to the router, ensure it's working.
3. Disable the firewall or antivirus setting on the home router if there is one.
Try to update the firmware of the camera and send me a picture of the error page if you still fail to update the firmware.
Best Regards

Hi,
1. What's the LED status on the Tapo C211?
2. Which firmware have you detected on the Tapo app for the Tapo C211?
3. If you have not tried to reboot the router, then reboot the camera and update its firmware, you can have a try.

Hi,
You can try the following steps if you don't mind.
1. Enable a hotspot Wi-Fi on your phone.
2. Factory reset the camera.
3. Reconfigure the camera with a different phone and connect it to the hotspot Wi-Fi.
4. Update the firmware of the camera via the Tapo app.
5. Factory reset the camera again and reconfigure it to connect to the router's Wi-Fi.
Best Regards
