Tapo P110 Smart Plug Missing Enery data from 7th Jan 2024
Tapo P110 Smart Plug Missing Enery data from 7th Jan 2024
Hi I have 5 P110 for energy monitoring.
I have been very happy with them so far. I use the android app to take daily reading to populate a spread sheet.
Starting Jan 7 there is missing data in the energy usage of multiple plugs!! I know it is missing as these are appliances that are on 24/7 such has fridge freezer. Also unber the power menu you can see data is there for the last 7 days!!
Is this a problem with the Tapo cloud service or the App? I am not sure where hourly / daily data is stored ? In the cloud or in the plug or app ?
Any help appreciated to diagnose the issue.

I did export the data and there were gaps in the energy data. The power data was all there.
However, today the energy charts are all complete for the missing periods , like thay have been back calculated.
I have not powered the P110 down as behind a lardge fridge freezer.
So currently all P110's working ok.
Will keep an eye on it.
FYI - We did experience a number of short power outages before all this occured!

@BobTrex I have exactly the same issue.
I'm missing data on one P110 and one P115.
But i have another P110 where the data are fine.
All of them are running latest FW - 1.3.0 Build 230905 Rel 152200

@BobTrex Same issue for me. I have 8 plugs and I confirmed that at least 3 of them have wrong energy usage data, the last 2,5 days, although the power consumption diagram shows the correct data.

Thank you for the feedback. This situation has been reported to the support engineer. I'll update here if any progress.
Can you guys check whether the energy data is also missing from the downloaded sheet? Or is it just missing from the App?
What's the version of your Tapo App?

@Wayne-TP Yup, data are there in the app. I disconnected the plug from the wall for a minute and reconnect it and since there seems data are there again.

Hi everyone! Can you share with us whether the current energy data of your smart plug is displayed normally in the Tapo App? According to the recent feedback, it seems that everything has been restored automatically?
If your device still has data missing problems, please contact me via private message!
