Set up camera on Friday. By Sunday no LED light and obviously offline! 
 

I've tried to get it to work even though I've wasted an hour scrolling through help / support section and tried switching off then on. Reset router. Deleted and reinstalled app. 
 

Wifi signal is strong .

 

App shows camera  offline for 23 hours now. 
 

no change of settings on my router.

 

Only 2 devices using it at the moment. 
 

Cannot find support / advice in the troubleshooting / advice section in app, 

 

nothing wrong with my router or wifi

 

veey frustrating.

Hi,
What's the model number and MAC address of your camera? You can send me the MAC address via a private message.

 

Please try to reset your camera to factory default settings if you haven't tried it before, and reconfigure it to check if it will work fine.
How to reset my Tapo camera?
Please let me know the LED changes on the camera and the result of the above steps if you still have an issue.

  @Solla-topee Hi i have the sae issue as well. The battery is fully charged but the led  light is dead. the model is d230

I had to buy new cameras as customer service wanted original receipt of purchase. As this was a birthday present I did not have them but the yellow Argos stickers were on all packaging / boxes. Absolutely useless and very frustrating. So I've gone to ring and compatible cameras using SD cards instead. Peace of mind and fabulous customer service help from Ring and Blip as it turns out. Take your TP link camera back and get a.refund. You're the 6th person who's contacted me with this issue so it's obviously a model fault that TP know about - potentially sorted the issue on the next model up and ignore / fob off customers who buy this model. Hope you get your money back. X

Hi,
You can refer to the steps below to troubleshoot.

 

1. How do you test if the doorbell camera battery is fully charged? Does the LED on the battery turn solid green when charging it?

 

2. If you have several doorbell cameras or battery-powered cameras such as Tapo C420 or C400, please confirm if your doorbell camera has inserted the original battery.

 

3. Ensure the battery is inserted into the camera tightly. 

 

4. Try to factory reset the doorbell camera and check if the LED changes.
