Tapo P105 schedule timer issues
I recently bought a Tapo product Mini Smart Wifi Plug model P105.
My question is why I can't configure the Schedule, Timer and Away mode on my device. It always shows the Operation failed, please try again later.
Everything is ok, just the Schedule, Timer and Away Mode are not working.
Is this a defective item or just a software issue?
Model: TapoP105

Description
We recently discovered that Tapo P100/P105 users from the Philippines are more likely to experience issues with time-related functions such as schedules or timers after a power outage or network fluctuation. Initial analysis revealed that the problem was caused by an anomaly in the time calibration of the device under the local ISP network.
Solution
Fixed on the latest firmware
- Tapo P100(US) 1.0, Firmware 1.4.4 Build 20240514 Rel.35017
- Tapo P105(US) 1.0, Firmware 1.4.5 Build 20240514 Rel.36508

This problem is most likely caused by the abnormal synchronization time of the device. It is recommended that you try factory reset the plug and reconfigure it.

I have tried the reset option more than 5 times. Thr timer option will work for my P105 but eventually lose it all over again. Quite frustrating. Please let me know what is the solution to solve the issue. Thanks.

How often does this reoccur? What router are you using?
If you notice this happens again, you may share the following information with me via private message, a specialist will help to follow it up.
1. Time of the recurrence. The more specific, the better.
2. Mac address of the Tapo plug
3. Your time zone
4. Tapo App version

I have the same issues on all 5 unit P105 plug after updating to firmware 1.2.1 build 230804 rev 190922
Now it doesn't follow the schedule.
I tried setting it up again without success
I hope TP can look up to check and fix the firmware.
Thanks

Did you get the same error when try to edit/save or create the schedule? Make sure device's time zone is consistent with your location.
Try to restart the router so that the plug can re-establish network connection and synchronize the device time from internet,

Please check if you can still remotely control the plug when the schedule is not working? Such as when using cellular data or connecting to a non-home WiFi.
Do you have any other Tapo devices? Do they experience the same issue, such as schedule failure or inability to be remotely managed?

Can you still control the plug remotely with cellular data network after they are restored from power loss?
Please be more specific about the problem. Does the timer or schedule doesn't take effect at all? Delay? Or you fail to create the timer or schedule?
Do the three normal P105 have the same firmware version as the other two? Version 1.2.1 Build 230804 Rel.190922?

Yes. I can control (on/off option) it over the cellular data after power loss but not the schedule or timer options.
After every power loss, the saved schedule doesn't work. It fails to create additional or delete any existing schedule as well. Attached is the error message. Setting timer is not also working.
Yes, even the new tapo p105 devices also show the same symptoms. I only have 3. I've been using the first module for almost 2 years now. It worked perfectly for the first year. I barely used it last year thus I cant tell when the issue even started. I thought it was defective thus I opt to buy new modules to use for my home project.
All are on same version as stated.
