Tapo C425 is Tapo's first battery camera model that supports connecting to Wi-Fi directly. Unlike the other battery cameras such as the Tapo C420, C400, and D230, the Tapo C425 does not need to work with a Tapo hub H200 and the battery can’t be moved out of the camera.

Q1. What are the differences between the Tapo C425, C420, and C400?

  • The Tapo C425 connects to the 2.4G Wi-Fi network directly to work, but the Tapo C420 &C400 need to connect to the Tapo Hub H200 to work.
  • The Battery on the Tapo C425 can’t be moved out, but the Tapo C420&C400 can do it.

 

Q2. What's the port type of the Power Adapter?

USB Micro B Charging Port.

 

Q3. How long does it take to fully charge the battery?

It will take about five and a half hours with the original charger (5V 2A USB Charger) in the package.

 

Q4. What's the capacity of the battery? Can it be removed from the camera?

  • Battery capacity: 10000 mAh. 
  • The battery can't be moved out of the camera.

 

Q5. Can I stream the Tapo C425 from NAS/NVR/PC?

The Tapo C425 does not support the RTSP/ONVIF profile(S) protocols, it’s unable to stream the camera from NAS/NVR/PC via RTSP/ONVIF.

 

Q6.  What's the spec of the Wall Mount Bracket Stud if the clients want to buy the bracket by themselves?

  @jm_carmona I have bought one via Amazon, and it was just a mistake... the camera itself is nice, but cannot integrate in Home Assistant - so stay out of it, if you plan on integration, I even bought the solar panel to top up the battery, but only works on wake events of the motion sensor, so it wont roll out permanently. With the old wired cameras you are getting more bang for buck, despite the hassle of having to wire some power to them.
