C200 and Google Nest Hub Issues
C200 and Google Nest Hub Issues
Hi. I recently purchased the Tapo C200 and I am having issues viewing on my Google Nest Hub. I was able to link the camera to my Google home app but when I bring up the feed on the camera it works for 10 to 20 seconds and the following error appears -
Oops! Something went wrong with the camera stream. Please try again. If the issue persists please contact the customer support for further assistance.
I have rebooted the camera, restarted the Google hub and unlinked and linked the camera on the Google home app and the issue still persists.
Any ideas on how this could be resolved?

Hi @Terabyte
Please make sure you have tried some tips in the Marked recommended solution here, if still the same, you could provide some information asked there so we could take a further look at it, thank you.

Sofar my Issue still persists. I have tried to optimise the connection between the camera and the Google Nest in the indicated ways. It did not help.
Streaming 1024P to my Phone works free of problems using the same WiFi network connection with the Tapoo.
Apparently the camera stream is allright but it is not accepted by the Google Nest.
As far as I can see I cannot reduce the stream by choosing a lower video quality.
Steven.

The issue might be your actually using local storage/sd card. Remove sd to force cloud. Since local and cloudy recording can't coexist on this device it may just be the case where if using local sd card the camera cannot stream through the cloud medium that it funnels past towards your hub/nest device because it's to dumb to send a stream to the cloud and the sd card at the same time. (But 20 devices with Tapo app can be streamed no problem. Idgi) I'm assuming it records in Some cheap storage compression from its legacy parts and streams in some full res from its added on chipsets. Bipolar

@NoMrE without SD card I also get the Oops warning on a C100 after a few seconds

Found this on the web in tapo stream comunity
5. If you are using a third-party device such as Google Home Hub, Echo Show, or fire TV to watch the live stream of the Tapo camera, it will be disconnected automatically when it arrives at a certain minute as it’s a Cloud-to-Cloud service which will strain your network bandwidth more and cause more data allowance overages. If you want to continue watching, take the Echo show as an example, you need to ask it to show again by voice command "Alexa, show me the [Camera Name]".
