C200 and Google Nest Hub Issues
C200 and Google Nest Hub Issues
Hi. I recently purchased the Tapo C200 and I am having issues viewing on my Google Nest Hub. I was able to link the camera to my Google home app but when I bring up the feed on the camera it works for 10 to 20 seconds and the following error appears -
Oops! Something went wrong with the camera stream. Please try again. If the issue persists please contact the customer support for further assistance.
I have rebooted the camera, restarted the Google hub and unlinked and linked the camera on the Google home app and the issue still persists.
Any ideas on how this could be resolved?

Update 22/05
Hello everyone,
Thank you for your feedback in regard to streaming camera on Google Nest Hub or Google hub reports 'Oops, something went wrong with the camera stream'
After some investigation by our team, we found this could be related to the network environment.
Possible Cause of issue: there is a lag or delay in the Wi-Fi network that Google hub connects to.
(tested when there is10% package loss / 200ms delay in Wi-Fi network)
Troubleshooting Suggestions:
- Update the firmware of Google Nest to the latest version.
-Ensure Tapo device firmware and APP are up-to-date
- Locate Google (nest) hub or router closer to each other & ensure Google hub has strong Wi-Fi Signal from router
- Ensure you could stream other videos properly like YouTube videos in your Google hub
- Try a different Wi-Fi channel & Set a Lower channel width on router to reduce wireless interference
2.4Ghz :20Mhz channel width
- Also contact Google Support to get some suggestions with this error as well as help look into this at the same time.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Google streaming uses cloud- to- cloud service, thus smooth streaming require good network environment
Please check when camera and google hub device connected to same Wi-Fi network helps stream smoothly.
If you experience the similar issue, to help isolate the issue, please help confirm some information here
- when Live - stream on Tapo APP locally when phone connected to Home Wi-Fi network, is there any buttering / disconnection
- when Live - stream on Tapo APP remotely when phone in on LTE mobile data, is there any buttering /disconnection
- If watch video on Google hub directly , is there any buffering/ disconnection
- Mac address of camera (please share by private message)
- When issue occurs, please help collect the camera log and share camera log with us
How to Get the Log of Tapo Camera?
- Google (nest)hub model and software version, e.g. Google nest hub Generation 1, firmware XX, it is better to attach a photo of Google hub hardware/ software version
- Router's brand and model.e.g. ISP spectrum -router <wireless>Tapo camera; Router <Wireless>Google hub
- Model of phone and its Android/ IOS version

I have the same issue. Google Nest streams the Tapo C200 for only 5-10 seconds then reports:
"oops something went wrong with the camera stream"
Streaming to my Samsung S20 mobile phone works fine.
Can you advise?

This is the camera's fault.
I have a C100 and a C200. The C100 works fine at 20m. The C200 stops streaming from a distance of 2 m. On Nest Hub 2, on Chromecast 3, on Android Box - the same everywhere. C100 is working, C200 is disconnecting. 1GB fiber connection. Works via ONVIF, works on phone, does not work via Google.

The Google Nest Hub is 2nd generation (2 months old).
There is only one wifi network, broadcasted by Devolo Dlan500 WiFi, directly connected to the Ziggo Hitron Coax modem/router.
Streaming via mobile phone software, like Tapo, works fine via same WiFi.
