Model: NC450
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.5.6

Hi, using nc450 v2 cam for a few months and started disconnecting wifi every few days or so. Only powering off/on helps. This is a serious problem as it occurs every few days and device cant reconnect to wifi unless physically powered off/on. Noticed that while it's disconnected from wifi, it is actually running and recording but without wifi connection notifications/alarms doesnt deliver and device cant be controlled from outside at all. Also noticed it had same issue and couldnt reconnect to wifi after a power outage in building. None of other wifi devices have this issue.

Device is on latest firmware 1.5.6. It might be a software bug and can be solved with a firmware. At least devs can implement a solution so that device periodically check wifi connection and if it's disconnected, it can try connecting again or trigger restarting wifi module or device itself. Appreciate support from Tplink. If Tplink doesnt support their products after sale, they will lose market share more..

Hello   @abc34

Thank you for reaching out to us.

You could to change a 2.4G wireless channel on your router, such as wireless channel to 1/6/11, and change channel width to 20MHz to give it a go.

May I know how about the LED status on NC450 when connection drops, it is Solid/ Flashing green or Red?

As the camera has been working fine, can I know did you recently change any Wi-Fi settings on the router, or upgrade the firmware for the router?

Does the issue occur after a camera firmware update, or the camera has been working fine for a certain time on the same firmware version?

Thank you.
