Cannot Connect TPLink Bulb KL130B
After installing new broadband my bulb wasn't connecting so I deleted it off the app so I could see if re-installing it would help but it is not connecting.
I have tried hard reset several times, I also tried re-installing the Kasa app, but still it won't connect.
The problem I have seems to be when it gets to the stage of asking to use a temporary wifi (TP-LINK_Smart Bulb_1E24). After a few minutes of the circle spinning it says it cannot connect, but I also noticed that that wifi has no signal so I tried changing it to my usual wifi during the spinning circle and that seems to have no effect atvall (circle just keeps spinning).
Any help appreciated.

@Solla-topee I turned off the VPN temporarily in my phone and that seemed to do the trick.

@Cynicalcylon Hello,
Thank you for your detailed information, make sure phone is connected to the default SSID ' TP-LINK_Smart Bulb_1E24' in set up process or bulb could not be found by Kasa APP. This SSID has no Internet and it will disappear after bulb is installed successfully.
- Turn off VPN settings on your phone
- Manually Connect to TPLINK _ Smart XXX SSID when the app guides to connect to smart Wi-Fi, and go back to Kasa app
iOS: Go to the Settings page, click on the Wi-Fi option to connect to the Kasa Cam’s Wi-Fi manually.
Android: Go to the Settings page to connect to the Kasa Cam’s Wi-Fi network. Once it’s connected, please go back to the Kasa app and click on "Try Again".)
3. For IOS14 and above, enable Local network permission for Kasa app :

4. Try a different phone
May I know the model of your phone and its Android or IOS version if the above does not work?

@Solla-topee I tried (virtually) everything to fix my bulbs not connecting to Sky WiFi (resets, reinstall app, split 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz etc. etc.) and nothing worked. After reading your post, I checked my Android settings and found an AdAware VPN, so I deleted it and the app. Retried the bulbs...and they worked! Thanks so much.
