Thanks for your reply.
Please hard reset the LB230 first by turning it on and off for 5 times at a slow rate.
Then please follow the instruction below to set it up with the kasa app.

Please use the main router's wifi password to set it up.
May it help and have a nice day.

What is the model and OS version of your cellphone?
Try to restart the smart phone to install the smart bulb.
Meanwhile, you can change another smart phone to give it a go.
Still the same, please let us know which step you get stuck.
Good day.

@Kevin_Z
Hi thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately turning the phone again didn't help much with connecting to home wifi.
However weirdly as I connected my phone to TP-LINK_SMART Bulb_B49B(device wifi) and turn on the app again there was a push that there's a preconfigured device available and the device was connected to my phone and I could control colors and stuff with my phone.
But when I change to Home wifi I cannot control the device which is what i really need. And when my phone is connected to the above device wifi, I went into the setting and tried to activate 'Remote Control', it said 'failed : cloud send cmd failed'.
I think this is too much of a hassle and nuisance when I'm just simply trying to connect the device to my home wifi....
P.S. my phone is galaxy s8 and model number is SM-G950N and os is android 9.
Also i've tried to update the firmware of the device when my phone is connected to the device wifi but fails..

@Kevin_Z
Thanks a lot!
Hard reset has done its job. After hard reset, I was able to connect my device to my main router.
God.. I wish i knew this earlier. Anyway I really appreciate your help!

@Kevin_Z none of this works for LB130. Resetting and hard resetting does nothing. The Kasa app keeps telling us to connect to our wifi. Stupid -- because we are connected. That's how I'm writing this message. When are you fixing this idiotic bug or creating videos to help?

I replied on your another thread.
Meanwhile, the root cause seems the update of the iOS version, while we got feedback that the latest iOS 13.1.3 works well with the kasa devices.
You can check the iOS version first.
Besides, you can change another device to give it a go.
Still the same, please show us a screenshot of the step you get stuck and your cloud account which you can tell us privately.
Good day.
