Woke up this morning to one of my plugs that should have switched of over night to being on. The app showed off and the led. Switching on then off by either method left it on. Removed the plug waited a few minutes and still defaulted in when plugged in. Reset the plug and it's back to normal. Is it faulty? How long is the guarantee?

Do you mean tapo plug status is OFF on APP, Led is Off on plug itself, but the home appliance connected to it always get power from the Plug?
For " Reset the plug and it's back to normal. " did you unplug it and plug back in or factory reset it?
If manually switch off the Plug, Led goes off, can home appliance still gets power?
