IFTTTT support for Tapo Smart Wi-Fi plug P100
Hello
I've just bought a TP Link TAPO P100 smart plug, now connected to Alexa (Amazon Alexa TAPO skill linked OK). The plug works fine from the android device with TAPO app or using Alexa with voice command.
Now, I have a smart home box to manage my house (lights / covers / heating system / ... ) but I'm not able to find an IFTTT service for your TAPO device. Only Kaza have an IFTTT service to manage your device from IFTTT.
Can you tell me if the IFTTT support for TAPO device is "in the pipe", or I need to ask for a refund for this product. IFTTT is important for me in order to link all my devices to my smart home device (Home Assistant).
Many thanks for your help.
Regards
Christophe

@Stella.Q This short time is taking a while! It's a shame I like the product but without being able to be integrated with other systems they are not smart

If this isn't added soon then I will have to buy from another manufacturer as I need to be able to control devices based on electricity price.
I don't want a remote switch I want a smart switch!

It's annoying isn't it? I got two.. they work well, but lack of Ifttt support is a pain. I don't know why they came up with a whole new line of products (Tapo) when they have Kasa. I can only imagine they wanted to have a newer better platform, but they're probably still developing it. There are products in the pipeline and I'm sure Ifttt is on their to-do list.

@Xtof31fr I am also waiting for it for a while now... Considering the way that thread is ignored by the customer service team, I guess our best option is to switch to another manufacturer...

I've got IFTTT working with my Tapo P100s, if anyone needs this.
You can't directly connect Tapo to IFTTT, but:
You can connect Tapo to SmartThings and SmartThings to IFTTT.
- Set up the smart plugs in Tapo app.
- Download SmartThings app, create an account, add device and link Tapo account.
- In IFTTT use SmartThings as action/trigger and select the smart plug.

I feel sorry for TP-Link, I didn't think it would be so visionless, IFTTT is what makes up the Smart Plug's features.
I'm amazed they still haven't done it.
