As my subject says, my c320ws seems to stay on infrared mode, even if i switch to full colour, or smart mode, it will turn to colour camera for a moment then click back to infrared. If I manually toggle the spotlight, it will flick to colour for a moment then switch back to infrared. 

 

In the winter infrared gives a terrible image outside (pretty much everything is grey) so full colour would be better, ideally with the ability to turn the spotlight off, but that's a problem for a different day.

 

Is there a way I can fix the infrared/colour toggle? As it being stuck on infrared isn't helpful. Camera is approximately 3 years old now I think.

Hi,
1. Do you mean when the Tapo C320WS works in the Night mode and selects the Full-color mode or Smart mode, the camera keeps staying on Infrared mode, and the spotlight won't turn on?

 

2. If so, can you send us a video showing the reported issue for further analysis? I want to see the camera's live view page, video mode settings, and night mode settings on the video.

 

You can upload the video to your cloud server(such as Google Drive), generate a link to download it and send me(@Solla-topee) the link via a private message.

It works normally on night mode. When I switch to full colour, the spotlight turns on, and the camera will switch to colour for a second or two then will switch back to infrared mode even though it's on full colour mode. I'll try to create and upload a video tonight.

Hi,
From the video provided, after the camera is in full-color mode or smart mode and the spotlight is on, the camera switches between Day mode and full-color mode/infrared mode, making the live view page look abnormal.

There seems to be a light above the camera, we recommend turning off the light above and then operating the camera in full-color mode to check if it works, or you can manually set the camera to Day mode with the light above turned on to see if it meets your needs.

There is no light above it, thats the roof overhang. But manually switching to day mode does seem to have solved the image quality. Thanks.
