I've got a Tapo P100 setup in my garage connected to a battery charge for tools. I can turn the plug on and off via the Alexa which is great but sometimes I forget to switch it off and I don't really want to leave it running.

I've created a shortcut in the Tapo app to turn the plug on and then switch off for an hour later but I can't get the Alexa to run this shortcut it just says it doesn't know how to help. Any ideas of what I need to do or is there a special commend I need to give Alexa to run shortcuts?

Thanks

Tapo shortcut can be synced to Alexa automatically as a scene. User is able to run Tapo shortcut via Alexa voice command.

What's the name of your tapo shortcut and how did you ask Alexa to run it?

Avoid naming shortcuts in ways that could confuse Alexa, such as "Bedroom" or "Front Door." Phrases like "turn on bedroom" or "turn on front door" may not be interpreted as clear commands that Alexa can understand and execute.
