Model: Tapo P110  
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.31

Set 5 smart actions for arrive & leave home, geolocation is turned on, they persistently fails to action on now 2 cellphones, no battery optimization or pause app if unused so it's not this at fault, firmware is up to date, tried everything but does not work consistently & tbh it's sporadic when it will or not work.

 

It's so unreliable, scheduling of course is great but geo based is much more useful if it works.

  • Check if there is any error in the smart action History. (Tapo App -> Smart tab -> Upper right corner, History.)
  • Turn on the precise location for the Tapo App. How to turn on Precise Location for the Tapo App
  • Check if automation is in effect for the current phone. To apply the automation on multiple phones, please edit the automation on different phones to enable geofencing for this phone/tablet: Edit automation > click trigger (When) > enable "This Phone/Tablet".

  @NHN-Tapo There are no errors at all, they just stop working.

 

If I turn them on & off again they may work for a day or 2 then stop again .

 

Everything you've suggested I've already checked multiple times for weeks & made no difference & it was already setup for precise location anyway.

 

There's something wrong with smart actions & possibly using geolocation, it's not my setup as I've checked many times now, deleted them added again & it still does this.

 

Tested on 3 phones now, same issues.

 

And yes I've setup actions for specific phones geolocation & it fails on any phone with no battery optimization in place so it's not battery savings pausing the app.
