Tapo C520WS ONVIF motion detection not working
Hello.
I am using Tapo C520WS connected to QVR Pro 2.5 of QNAP TS-264.
I've tried various things and ONVIF motion detection doesn't seem to work.
Of course, motion detection is turned on in the Tapo app, and I have confirmed with QNAP support that the settings on QNAP QVR Pro are correct.
According to QNAP support, it is a problem on the TP-LINK side.
Is it possible to fix the ONVIF motion detection problem with a firmware update?
Below is the email I received from QNAP Support.
"After checking with the internal camera integration department, it was found that some TP-Link cameras have compatibility issues with the ONVIF standard, leading to motion detection not working on third-party NAS systems via ONVIF. This is why these camera models are not listed in the QNAP camera compatibility list, as camera integration for those TP-Link cameras was halted due to these compatibility issues with motion detection via ONVIF.
Therefore, our engineer recommends that you report this issue to the TP-Link camera manufacturer and inquire if any new firmware is available to resolve the problem. "
thank you.

Hi,
The Tapo cameras(except for the battery-powered cameras) support ONVIF profile S, if the Asustor Surveillance Center V3 supports ONVIF profile S, you can usually watch the camera's live feed on the Asustor Surveillance Center V3 via ONVIF connection.

Hi,
Can some help with my cameras (c520 & c320) please?
Motion detection is not working on qvr pro on qnap nas.
Does this beta working on only on c520?
Is there a way to download this to flash new cameras as planning to buy couple more?
Thanks in advance

Hi,
1. We have the beta firmware for the C520WS now. If the Tapo C320WS has the same issue, I'll forward it to the tech team, usually, they can also provide the firmware for the Tapo C320WS.
2. You can send us the MAC address of the cameras via private message, and we can push the firmware to the cameras if needed.
The problem will be solved on the new official firmware, however, I do not have the info about when/which firmware will solve it.

Hi @Solla-topee
I received the beta firmware for tapo 320 and it worked great until a couple of days ago, the RTSP stream continues to work however I stop receiving event.
I'm not sure if it's because the camera has been updated to a newer offical firmware, can you help me to check which firmware version I had for the beta release?
Many thanks in advance!
