Hardware Version: V1

Firmware Version: 1.2.6

I have recently bought 2 packs of C420S2 cameras with 2 units each. I also acquired a 256Gb microSD memory card which I introduced and formatted on the Tapo Hub. However, and despite my best efforts following online instructions I cannot activate 24/7 continuous recording of the cameras to the SD card, the option is not present in the context menu and only "Detection Recording" is shown in Recording Schedule menu. Anyone facing the same issue? Please support.

Hi,
The Tapo C420 battery camera does not support the 24/7 recording feature. I'll log the feature request and pass it along to the team to evaluate, but I can't confirm if this feature can come to the product or when it might.
If you need the 24/7 recording feature and just buy the Tapo C420S2, it's suggested to contact your retailer to return the product or exchange it for other models that support this feature, such as Tapo C320WS, Tapo C310, etc.

It seems this model does not record continuously due to the nature of battery-powered. Same as the C400. https://community.tp-link.com/en/smart-home/forum/topic/603812
