Hi, I've been using a P110 smart socket for about a year - mainly as a timer and for energy monitoring.

In the last month, the energy monitor has continued to work, but the device does not turn the power on and off, even though I can hear a click sound as I turn it on and off.

It doesn't make any difference if I turn it off with the button on the device or using WiFi via the Tapo app - whatever is plugged in to the socket (eg, USB chargers, or a lamp) just carries on working. That's not good for me, because I wanted it to help manage over-night charging.

Has anyone else seen this happen with a Tapo smart socket?

  @RockPaper

Hi,
In this case, you can try to reset the Tapo P110 to factory default settings and then check if turning on/off it via the hardware button will work. If the problem remains, it's suggested to contact technical support via phone or email to see if your product is under warranty, and here is the contact info.
Best Regards
