Model: EAP115
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 5.0.5 Build 20220427 Rel. 42838(4555)

Due to power cuts in South Africa, I would like to setup this AP with a POE injector, as my fibre router and main switch is already on an Inverter, but this AP is not,  so i thought of adding a POE injector on the side of the switch/router / inverter , then the Ap should give me signal on teh other side of the house, but not sure which one to buy. Can someone please advise .

  @Selwynas

You are looking for an 802.3af POE supply, therefore the TL-POE150S v3 or similar should work, its compatible with 802.3af.  However, I have not personally tried it with this AP.

  @Selwynas

As above you need a negotiated (802.3af/at) 48-53V POE injector, NOT a passive 24V/48V one.  The POE solution will use all 4 pairs in your Ethernet cable so you want to be sure it's wired correctly.  In my country, the Ubiquiti injectors (direct from website) were the cheapest option, YMMV on the other side of the planet :)

  @Selwynas Thank you very much for your input. I see the TP Link injector is much cheaper than the Ubiquity her in South Africa, so I will get one and see if that works.

  @Philbert Thank you very much - I will source one and try that on my Ap.
