Tapo C200 and Blue Iris not working
Tapo C200 and Blue Iris not working
Hi, does anyone know if the Tapo C200 camera works with Blue Iris? If it works can someone tell me what settings I need to make? I tried hundreds of variants and it still gives me RTSP: 401 Unauthorized error. I put the username and password on the camera, I put the 2020 service port for ONVIF, I put the RTSP 554 port, I put path "/ stream1", but I still can't make it work. If I try to change something in the current configuration it gives me the port / password / username error.

Hi, the username and password for the RTSP stream are not the email account and password for the email.
So did you create the login username and password on the APP already, such as https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2680/
Thank you very much.

@TP-Link Yes I created the user and password in the app and those I put. I'm pretty good at it, but the tapo camera didn't make it work. I followed all the steps just as it gives me error with RTSP: 401 Authorized in Blue Iris. I mention that my version of blue Iris is 4.0.3.1

The username and password from this screen is the one i've created in tapo app.

Hi, thank you very much for your detailed information.
In case the Tapo camera was not compatible with Blue iris, are you able to tested on the VLC player or iSpy?
By the way, are you able to check what the error message means on the Blue Iris?
Thanks a lot!

Yes, with vlc I checked and it works, with iSpy I didn't check.

@Sadiqus did you ever resolve this? I have the same problem - I can't get the C200 camera working with Blue Iris (v4). I get no video signal. I've created a user id/password in the Tapo app, and have entered it in Blue Iris. I've set the media/video/RTSP port to 554, the auto-configure port to 2020 and the Path to "/stream1".
I can access the camera via RTSP in VLC, and also using the Onvif Device Manager app. It's just Blue Iris that can't display the video stream.

@itm60 Unfortunately, I failed, apparently it is a problem at blueiris v4.

I have seen another user posted the same issue about the VG camera with Blue iris 5.

Could you please have a look at this link to see whether it helped or not;
Thank you and wait for your reply.

Hi
In relation to configuring Tapo C200 with blueiris,
1. first make sure you create the 'Camera Account' in the Tapo app as per the article https://www.tp-link.com/uk/support/faq/2680/
2. second, in blueIris when adding the camera, enter the camera account details from step 1, into the User/Password fields below. Also for the IP address of the camera make sure you put in the port number (i.e. :2020) after the IP address as shown below and then click on Find/Inspect
Regards
Brian

Hi,
I tried, it gives me the same error. Error 404 - Stream not found! Anyway from what I understand and the support of those from blueiris is that I should upgrade to version 5,but obviously I do not want to give other money just for a single video camera that does not work,.
