Hi, Where I live I suffer from the occasional power cut which is causing a problem with my LB 120 lamp basically when the lamp is off and I get a power cut when the power comes back on the lamp comes on. is there any way that i can set the lamp to stay in the state it was when the power is restored. would be grateful for any help, I have other TP devises and they are fine and not effected by power cuts. thanks Ken.

I have the switches installed as well as the smart bulbs. After power outage my switches stay off but my smart bulbs tun on. I just got tired of playing games and replaced them with phillops hue smart bulbs. At least they fixed the problem. I will not be buying tp-link products anymore any I’m spreading the word about this problem with smart bulbs.

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused here;
due to the specification of the smart bulb, the LB120 will be turned on after the power outage. In other word, the LB120 will be lit up once the power back.
Good day.

Thanks Kevin, I didn’t like that feature in the bulb. But I am using the switch with no problems at all. I do like with the tp-link that I don’t need a hub. Thanks for your reply.

I see, that is the little difference between the smart bulb and smart plug; after the power outage, the status of the smart plug will be the same as the previous status. In other word, the smart plug is turned on, it will be turned off due to the power cut, but after that, it will turn itself on.
Is it a regular power cut? If so, you can setup schedule to turn it off. Or you can use the kasa app to turn them off remotely.
Best regards.
