Tapo C125 not reconnect after power outage
I have two c125 cameras and every time the power goes out they don't reconnect to the wifi. All other Tapo devices reconnect without problems (3 plugs, 1 hub and 2 c425 cameras). To make them work I have to unplug them and plug them back in. The problem is that every time I'm away from home I'm left without those two cameras. Why does this happen?

Hi,
Typically, the Tapo C125 will reconnect to the same Wi-Fi network after a power failure.
If it does not reconnect to Wi-Fi after your router reboot or power outage, that could be due to the Wi-Fi network environment or how the router handles the requests from the camera. Refer to the following steps for resolving issues:
1. Reboot your smart device.
2. Reboot your router.
3. Try to reserve an IP address in router settings for the MAC address of the smart device.
4. Change the router DNS to 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4.
5. If your smart plug can be used to connect to the camera, you can turn on/off the camera via the control of the smart plug.
Best Regards

@Solla-topee hi,
did you read what I wrote?
all devices work except the two c125 cameras. The problem is not with the router. The cameras already have dedicated IP addresses.
Other devices reconnect, cameras don't. If it were the router's fault, no device would have reconnected.
I've read your answer on every topic, always the same.
Ask Tp-Link to do more test on connectivity issues! Can't use it that way!

Hi,
Different devices may have different mechanisms for connecting to the router's WiFi, and the router may also have different ways to handle the requests from the cameras, so you may see that only the Tapo C125 does not reconnect to the router Wi-Fi automatically after a power outage. It is currently hard to say that the problem has nothing to do with the router.
In your case, it is recommended to provide the model of your router to me, and I'll escalate the case to our tech team for further analysis.
In addition, if your router has enabled features such as Smart Connect, you can disable it for a try. If the 2.4G and 5G have the same Wi-Fi name, you can also change the 5G Wi-Fi name for a try.

@adi_hazard I have a similar issue with a different camera. I found switching to WPA2-PSK seemed to fix the issue. See https://community.tp-link.com/en/smart-home/forum/topic/711676?page=1 for details.
