Hi! I want to setup a dual WAN system in my home/business because of ISPs stability problems. I'm considering the ER605 or ER7206.

Currently, the modem is connected to 1 Archer with automatic DHCP, and the second Archer is connected via cable to the first one with Easymesh.

I have a couple questions, if anyone could please enlighten me:

  1. Are any of those 2 multi WAN routers good enough, or would you recommend better options?
  2. If I get a dual WAN router, is it possible to connect the 2 Archers with Easymesh to the Dual WAN router (Dual WAN router with automatic DHCP), or do I have to keep the current order and leave only one Archer with automatic DHCP connected to the Dual WAN router?
  3. Any other recommendations?

Thanks in advance for any help/hints you can provide me!

Hi @Nolmls

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

The basic one is enough. Unless you seek a specific performance based on the datasheet.

Multi-WAN router --- Archer(AP Mode) and mesh to another Archer.

Not certain about if Archer can be meshed in AP mode. You can contact the home support team reagrding this. But it should work by this way.

@Clive_A thank you so much! Does it mean I would have to leave the Dual WAN as main handling DHCP and the Archers as APs, correct?
