Hi,

I am looking to create a mesh network between 2x EAP 245 Ethernet wired access points.

I am using the Omada Cloud Essential Controller to manage the site. I have enabled Mesh, faster roaming and non-sticky roaming within the site config.

I would prefer to maintain an ethernet wired connection to both, but I have seen elsewhere that the second EAPs need to be powered and connect wireless.

Please can anyone advise how to configure the EAP as a Mesh, preferably both wired?

The network router is ISP provided and an unmanaged TP-Link PoE switch

Any documentation or video tutorial to assist will be useful

Hi  @NoviceNetworker

Just plug the second EAP into the POE switch via Ethernet cable and disable Mesh.

What you need is Fast Roaming. Mesh is for those wireless scenarios, which is not your case.

With a wired connection, you will get better performance than Mesh.

Wish you a happy life and smooth network usage!
