Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.1.2 Build 20230210

Hi,

I have OC200 managing EAP access points, TL-SG2210MP switch, and ER605 router.

I have a few VLANs:

  • MGMT VLAN - OC200 and the rest of the network equipment - VLAN 1
  • Users - users - VLAN 11
  • Guests - VLAN 12

I'm trying to remove MGMT vlan from the unnecessary ports via Wired Networks - LAN. However, it ends with an error that this is the default LAN:

My goal is to connect a User device (VLAN 11) to LAN1 port of the ER605, but since I cannot remove the default VLAN the user is allocated to MGMT vlan.

Not sure if related, but I'm also trying to remove the MGMT vlan as the management VLAN from the switch, but it also fails:

Please advise how to assign VLANs to ER605 LAN ports via OC200.

Thanks in advance.

All network devices default to VLAN 1 and it won't be able to be removed. You can determine what ports use each VLAN through VLAN tagging.

Hi,  @HellBent,

I understand that each port is tagged. The problem is, though, I can't remove the default VLAN tag.

I'm trying to tag port 2 as VID 11 only. However, I can't remove VID 1 so it remains on the default VLAN.

Is there a way to remove the default VLAN, or in general to disable management VLAN?

  @Zosha

You can do this in controller version 5.8 i Guess this is available to oc200 soon. This is done on router property and ports.

On VLAN 1, tag port 2. On VLAN 11, untag port 2. This should allow all devices connected to port 2 to get an IP from VLAN 11

The OC200 controller doesn't provide an option to untag specific ports on the routers. This option is available on switch ports, not router ports. Hence, I'm stuck

  @Zosha

Correct, because in the Omada SDN world there is no switch functionality in a router... This breaks lots of stuff that should easily be accomplished.

I have a feature request open to make the Omada SDN see a router as a 'router'+'virtual switch'.
