Model: EAP225
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 2.7.0 Build 20200113 Rel. 38287

Hi,

I have an EAP225 controlled by Omada and I am experiencing a weird issue. After few days, devices on my network cannot reach IOT devices on my AP directly without going through the internet (which add delays and block certain only locally available options). They can't even ping them. As soon as I reboot the AP, my IOT devices start to ping again and are available locally for about 48 hours, then it stops again.

It happens with a Kodak IP cam, My Harmony remote hub and TP-Link smart home Kasa devices.

Any one experiencing this issue? Is this a firmware bug? I can almost garantee you that it was ok when I first installed the AP, but it is not working since at lease firmware 2.6.0.

Thank You

Etienne

@EtRod_

Try to disable Airtime Fairness  on both band if enabled.

@EtRod_

I schedule a reboot every night, which mask the bug...

But I think this should be look at and fix in firmware long term.

@EtRod_ I'm having a similar issue with my EAP225 APs and a linksys wireless AC bridge.

The bridge loses connection to the 5Ghz network after a couple of hours. Then I have to reboot the bridge in order to connect to the network again. I only start the bridge when needed so it's not always on, but since I've upgraded the EAPs firmware to 2.7.0, this issue is happening after a couple of hours. Before there was no connection loss.

As a test I've connnected the bridge to a netgear 5Ghz router and now the issue does not occur...

I have a harmony hub as well (on 2.4 Ghz), but it seems the issue doesn't occur there (although it seems to take longer to connect from my app to the hub).

After 2 days, I still can reach all my IOTs. This seems to have fixed it. Thank you very much

If it take longer, it's probably because it is going through the cloud instead of local.
