Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 4.0.1 Build 20180706 Rel.58151

Dear Community,

I apologise for this very basic question, but I have tried web searches and searches on this forum to no avail.

We have a TL-ER5120 with 3 LTE routers connectd to the WAN ports. Connected to the LAN port is a WiFi router to which about 15 laptops and 15 mobile phones are connected.

We would like traffic to be evenly routed via all three WAN ports to ensure the data volume of the LTE routers is equally utilised. So far I have been unable to figure out how to set up the TL-ER5120 to evenly distribute connections across the three WAN ports. Any pointers would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Sebastian

@sebastian_hey

1. Set up bandwidth for all WAN. Set the same value.

2. Enable load balance.

@sebastian_hey

You can confiugue load balance or policy routing function in router.

I have not found FAQ about load balance funciton in TP-Link website, but this function is not complicated.

You need configure bandwidth in wan Port firstly, then choose different wan port in "Enable Bandwidth Based Balance Routing on port(s):"

For policy routing, you can check the FAQ:https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/2134/

@Andone Thank you very much. Not sure where I went wrong because I thought I had already configured the switch like you suggested, but after going through all the settings again, ensuring it's configured like you said and saving again, it's now working.

Hi Everyone,

After configuring the device as suggested above, I'm still experiencing the issue that most traffic seems to be routed via one port.

Looking at the statistics, it seems that the majority of traffic is routed via WAN1 (I had to disconnect WAN1 just now because the LTE router hit its monthly data limit):

I'd appreciate any further suggestions.

Thanks,

Sebastian
