Model: EAP225
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version:

Hi,

I currently have 2 EAP 610's and 1 EAP 225 Wall AP connected with the Omada controller. Those 3 are working fine and serving clients, depending where they are in the building.

I added an (older) EAP 225 to the mix, connected it, adopted it with the Omada controller and according to the controller, everything should be working fine. The EAP225 has a green light, is visible in the controller and so on.

But when I go near it, it just won't get any clients connected. I'm far enough away from the other AP's to be sure it would connect, but it doesn't. The EAP225 Wall AP is about the same age as the regular 225 and tha works, so it shouldn't be some sort of configuration issue?

Any ideas I can try?

Hi  @Houseofdreams_

If plug that new EAP610 into the same ethernet cable as this old EAP225, will the new EAP610 work?

What IP address will you get when you are beside the old EAP225?

How to find IP address on your devices

If only this EAP225 has the issue, you may try the following:

1. factory reset it and let it work under standalone mode, see if it works;

2. change the Ethernet cable to the EAP225, better a shorter one;
3. contact retailer to check the warranty

Hi,

Can you check in Settings => Site Settings if the features for roaming are enabled properly?

Maybe try to disable those, save, then enable again and save.

I don't seem to have that option? It goes from Fast Roaming to Band Steering. To be clear, roaming does actually work on all other 3 AP's, just not this one :/

I do have another new 610, planning on using that one on another floor, but I can test if it works on this location. That way I'm 100% sure the problem is with the 225...
