Access WLAN to SMB share

Access WLAN to SMB share

Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 5.14.26.1

I have the problem that I want to access an SMB share in VLAN 1 from a WLAN client in VLAN 50.

I can ping the server from the client, but I can’t access the SMB share with Windows Explorer.

When I connect the client with a network cable in VLAN 50, I have access to the SMB share.

No ACLs are configured.

Why can I access the SMB share with a network cable but not with WLAN?

The hardware I am using:
Omada Controller on Docker 5.14.26.1

Router:   ER605 v2.0    Firmware: 2.2.6

Switch:   TL-SG3452XP v1.0    Firmware: 1.0.7

WiFi AP: EAP660 HD v1.0    Firmware: 1.3.2

WiFi AP: EAP653 HD v1.0    Firmware: 1.0.14

best regards
Tecky

Hi  @Tecky

Windows Explorer is based on LAN (local area network). It can only scan the clients in the same LAN.

To access across LAN, you need to input the IP address proactively.

  @Vincent-TP

I know, but when I enter \\192.168.60.11\ in Explorer, I only get the message that the destination cannot be reached.
