This week I purchased an EAP215-Bridge Kit to replace a Ubiquiti Nanostation Loco M2 kit. I am happy to report that the speed is much improved.
However, users are experiencing video and audio call disruption, After some tweaking of the physical location, the devices are ~50metres apart and unimpeeded, in the same location as the Nanostations they replaced. 


At first there appeared to be a lot of inteference on 5Ghz from the other Omada EAP's on the site, so I disabled 5Ghz across all of the other AP's, this improved the error rate to < 5.

However, I am getting 100's of thousands of Rx retries, Tx dropped packets are in the hundreds, which as a % is not high but mostly Teams video and audio calls are dropping often, so much so that it is unworkable, even with just one session. 


The SNR is stable at -39dB and RSSI is -55 dBm 

Tx Rate and Rx rate are 866Mbps

Channel Width 80Mhz, Channel 44 / 5220MHz, Power 30

CPU 9%, Memory 55%

Firmware 1.0.4 Build 20240312 Rel. 33492

Controller OC200 1.0, 1.31.3 Build 20240620 Rel.80383

 

I am going to have to reinstall the Ubiquiti Bridge, so the users can work without the disruption. 

 

Is there any other settings I can tune or enable to improve the retries and drops before I return the EAP215 Bridge kit?

Only video/audio calls are affected? Other Internet activities work well?

Did you configure multiple VLAN SSIDs? If yes, you may refer to this guide to configure mDNS:
