I am trying to wrap my head around this setup.

So here goes nothing.

I would like to use a software controller

TP-Link EAP225 Omada AC1350 Gigabit Wireless Access Point Business WiFi Solution w/ Mesh Support, wired to a POE switch. Then outisde my house I want to put a EAP225-Outdoor.

I want to use mesh to connect the 2 AP's. I am trying to figure out how to power the EAP 225 - Outdoor. Do you just use the injector that comse with it, but not plug a wire into the in side of the injector? 

Will all this work with the software controller?

I've given @Gnac's answer as a recommend solution.

 

Just leave the LAN port away, use PoE port to power on the mesh EAP.

  @Drj361 The poe switch will power them and you won't need the injectors.  Adopt them into your controller and the rest is history.

EAP225-Outdoor can be powered on via both of the method.

 

Check instal guide of EAP225-Outdoor, there are two options.

  @Fae I guess I have not described the situation well enough. So the 225 out door is not connected to a lan. I understand that with mesh it should connect wirelessly to a wired AP.  And extend the signal. So my question is how do you power it. There is not a power cable that you plug into it.

  @Drj361 Yes, you can power it by running an ethernet cable from the poe side of the injector and leave the lan side open.
