Model: SG2210P
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I need to connect two OMADA LANs of buildings that are over 600 meters apart and between the two I cannot install any repeater or even lay a cable. The Omada EAP signal reaches a maximum of 300 meters.
Can I connect the 2 TL-SG2210P switches that are each in a building to extend the LAN by making a point-to-point wifi connection?
Could I use for example CPE610s for this extension?
If so, can I see the EAPs of the two different buildings in the same controller to create a single captive portal?

Thanks for reply

Hi @Vicklight,

For long-distance communication, we recommend you set a point-to-point connection.
Which means you will need two CPEs plus one AP or wireless router and a clear line of sight.

The connection should be like Router----AP CPE)))(((Client CPE----Another AP.

One CPE should connect to the router in the main house to extend wireless signal to the other building, while the other CPE should be installed in the other building(your shop) to receive the signal from the 1st CPE.
The 2nd CPE will work under client mode which means transferring the wireless signal to the wired signal, so it will not broadcast a wireless signal.
If you need a wireless signal in the other building, you need to connect another AP or wireless router after the 2nd CPE to broadcast Wi-Fi.

For more details about this application, you can refer to the link.
We have some articles and instructions that might be helpful:

The CPE can not be managed by Omada controller, but you can set the portal on the LAN and Wireless networks, the portal will work on all LAN clients.

Hi @Hank21

Thank you in advance for your support.
What I'm interested in is knowing if after creating a bridge with the CPEs, even if I won't see these devices in OMADA, I want to know if the other EAPs connected on the client CPE will be seen in the controller that I installed behind the CPE AP.

Hi @Vicklight,

If the CPEs, EAPs and the controller can communicate with each other, EAPs could be adopted by the controller even though you connected the EAP behind the CPEs.
