@jw88 I switched from Wemo smart plugs to Kasa smart plugs several years ago and have never had a problem. I recently got rid of the last three of my Wemo plugs (set up as auto off timers) and replaced them with Kasa HS103 plugs set up as auto off timers. I have experienced the same problem you are having. All three of the plugs have failed to turn off at least once. I have not been using them long enough to how often it is happening but now I will be watching them to see how often it happens. Maybe if tp-link follows these threads someeone will look into it.

  @jw88 Update on issue. I don't know what percentage of the time my problem is occurring, but it is often enough that it makes the devices useless as auto-off timers. I removed my devices and went back to the Wemo devices. I have emailed tp-link technical support about the issue and will let you know when I have an answer.

  @colglbo Hey thanks for the update. Hopefully your return to the other smart plug proves helpful. Yes, it is a bummer that I can't trust my smart plugs to do what I bought them for..oh well.

I received a rather lengthy AI generated response to my email that explained how to set up an auto-off timer. The response also included the following information.

Supported models for auto-off timer:
All Tapo Smart Plugs.
Kasa EP40M, KP125M, EP25 V2. (There maybe more models support this feature through firmware update in the future, please pay attention to our website).

Through a follow-up email they confirmed that the model HS103 does not support the auto-off timer. They said they would provide this feedback to their technical department to see if improvements could be made in the future

I have several HS103 plugs that I use on lamps and other devices where I schedule specific on and off times. I migrated from Wemo plugs about 3 years ago and have never had a problem with the Kasa plugs. They are very good products compared to the Wemos.
