Check out EAP625 if you can connect by ethernet and use it as an AP. Or consider getting a matching router for mesh.

  @ArcherC8 Thanks, but no, I do not have an ethernet connection between them.  I also cannot use a matching router as the Archer AX73 is not outdoor rated.

When I am saying "matching router for Mesh" that is the same Mesh type as the  EAP625 which happens to be the small business Omada series of products. 

 

Just review TP LInk's Omada products which has outdoor products. 

  @Norske OK, I understand what you mean now.  What is the common Mesh technology between the AX73 and the Omada series of routers?  OneMesh, EasyMesh, or Omada Mesh?

In the end I want to seamlessly roam between the 2 AND I want devices communicating through the outdoor router/extender to be visible by IP address on the primary AX73 router for device management, grouping, blocking, and filtering via the AX73's web or mobile configuration tools.

Per TP LInk Web site -- While TP-Link's Deco, Archer Router, and Omada EAP all support Mesh functionality individually, they are not designed to work together to form a single Mesh network. These product lines, although under the same brand (TP-Link), differ in their technology and software, preventing them from interoperating in a unified Mesh network, 

 

So you will need devices that all work on the same Mesh functionality. 

 

If it were me and I could put the device in a sheltered area such as under a roof line, I would get something like the RE220, RE315, or one of the others which has onemesh They are not very expensive. I do not use mesh but have used RE220 extender in my garage which has worked fine. I do have an inexpensive IoT camera in an area that is covered but open on all sides which does not get rained on, and it has been fine for four years and two hurricanes.  The RE220 has no openings other than an ethernet port at the bottom so that would be my first choise iif the slower speed is not an issue. If it lasts a few years, it is much cheaper than replaceing the entire system.
