Wiring smart switches
I am attempting to install some HS200 switches. The first set of switches I am trying has 3 switches. Two of them are "single" switches but they control multiple lights. The third is a 3-way switch.
When I removed the cover, I found a lot more wires than I was expecting. In this switch box, there are 7 wires. I have drawn a very crude wiring diagram of how the switches are all connected to the wires. I have left off the ground wires for simplicity, but can add them if anyone thinks that information is necessary.
All 7 white wires were bundled together. I chose 3 of them for the neutrals on the 3 switches: White 1 goes to switch 1,White 3 goes to switch 2, and white 6 goes to switch 3.
Switch 3 is the only switch that shows any power (the switch went into App Control mode when I turned on the circuit breaker). The other two switches show no life.
Have I chosen the wrong neutral wires for switches 1 and 2? Or are these "smart" switches not compatible with the wiring in my house?
Thanks!
