Having trouble registering for an account on the homepage

I recently purchased a Smart Wi-Fi plug and was able to connect the plug to my wi-Fi network with no trouble. In order to control the device, I need to register a Kasa account but when I try, the screen says registering and continually loops with no account created. Seems so simple, but it is not working. Any help would be appreciated.
