My Archer T2U has exactly the same issue. It seems to be the display problem, the speed is good, so it should be 11ac, not sure why, but it should be OK just display wrongly.

What do you mean re-set? And is the Airport Extreme router working? If the extender was working with another router, you need to reset the extender to factory default first. Plug a pin into the reset...
