I found a solution. I installed an older official Realtek driver for chipset 8811 that it's working perfectly. Hope this helps someone else. Cheers! RTL8811AU Software - REALTEK

Well..., TP-Link official tech support responded that they don't know what could be causing this error and cannot offer a solution. They're blaming my computer and Windows so I'm stuck.

Hi Tony, thanks for replying. Yes, I've tried installing from the 2nd drive, from the SD, from USB, in safe mode and disabling driver signature, same error... I had to go back to a previous backup...

There's plenty of space on C: Deleting the driver files and downloading again does the same thing. Never seen such error installing a driver, ever! What gives?
