CPE 210 set up but client can't join network

Hardware Version :

Firmware Version :

ISP :

ver1.1
So I just bought this AP and configured it to match my wired TPlink wired router.
So didn't have to change the lan subnet.
I left it in AP mode and renamed the ssid.
I put in security password

But when I try and join the network on a ipad is says incorrect password.

I tried that a few times, tried different modes of security.

Then I tried no security at all.

Now the ipad just says can't join network.

Any Help appreciated,

Thanks

I was able to get it going as a repeater.
That's putting a router and a repeater in front of it. Like to get it closer to the source.
Have to have another go at AP when I can get a chance.

When using the CPE210 as an AP, Maxtream must be turned off if you are trying to connect anything to it other than another CPE210. Maxstream is a CPE210 to CPE210 mode only. This is noted at the "?" near Maxstream. I missed this myself; Maxstream sounded good, I turned it on. After a while, I figured this out after some experimentation, then read the confirming "?" note. With Maxstream turned on, iPhones and other gear will not connect to the CPD210 as AP. Maxstream is not an offered mode in "Repeater" mode, so that always works. Confusingly, your device will tell you "wrong password." Not so.

And when something is called Maxstream, of course we're going to want to turn it on; it sounds more/better/faster. But not when used as AP to other devices.

TP-Lilnk would be doing the world a favor if it put a note under Maxstream saying, "Use only when linking to other CPE210 devices"
