My question is fundamental, but I couldn't find a manual on-line or any other explanation. I've never owned a repeater/extender, but I'm thinking of getting one of these Tp-link devices.


When I look at my site monitor on my laptop I see multiple wifi sources each with its own unique name. If I set up and activate a repeater will I then see each of those sources doubled, each one with a low strength and high strength copy, but the same name? (I have seen multiple copies of the same site in public areas before.) Or will I see just one more source in the list with the name of my repeater? If the latter is true, will the repeater just automatically pick the strongest one to repeat?
