Wired Speeds are Less Than Wireless Speeds
I just bought my power line adapter and when I tried to speed test on my computer I had shockingly lower numbers than I expected on my wired test; is this something that is normal? I made sure to check my Ethernet chords and they are compatible with the speeds the chord is a CAT 6. I made sure my Ethernet port on my computer is good enough for the speeds I am looking for; which is 800mbps download. I also tried different chords and got the same result. I made sure that my network adapter settings were correct and my drivers were all updated and my speed and duplex settings were all correct as well as my Qos settings were up to date and firmware was updated on my router. I also plugged my laptop in directly to my router using the same Ethernet chord and got almost 700mbps, my desktop is in a upstairs bedroom and my router is in my living room my bedroom is directly on top of my living room. Why is my speed on my wireless while testing in the same location so much different. Any tips and information is greatly Appricitated.
