I need advise on updating my hardware/firmware?
My husband passed away several months ago and he had set up our whole house WiFi and Ethernet with TP-Link products. I can get into the Omada controller and it is telling me that everything needs to be updated and is asking to "start rolling upgrade", but I am afraid to do so in the event that it causes other problems. We live in Honduras and there are no other IT people around, my husband was the primary IT person in the area (and he has several customers in a similar situation). Can I trust this process? I saw some articles talking about doing a backup before starting but I could not find any specific information of how to do this. I know this is a longshot, and I have been waiting for almost an hour for the online chat for Omada. I was just hoping that someone here might be able to give me some assistance. I worked in IT for many years, but I am not familiar with this particular software at all. I have so many other problems right now, the last thing I need is a non-functional internet, but I also don't want things to get so far out of date that it causes other problems. Any advice or help is appreciated. I am logged on with my husband's account, as I do not have my own but I can monitor his email for replies. TIA
