Added Deco M9s not showing IP address nor clients
Hello
I have reccently added 2 new Deco m9 to my mesh of 3 deco M9 plus
I noticed 3 things
-while the 3 initial ones have a Firmware 1.6.3, the 2 new ones show 1.2.12 Build 20191014 Rel 42025, even after update (source Deco mobile app)
-those 2 do not show IP address in the mobile app for those 2, while the 3 initial ones have an IP address
-those 2 do not show any client connected at any time, even if I stay close to one with my phone, and disconnect / reconnect to WIFI
Is this normal?

The led color is green on all, including the 2 new ones
They show up in the mobile app as Ok

@PierreC83 The Deco app is not always reliable, sometimes it does not show correctly the connected clients.
The Deco might be different hardware versions, that would explain why they do not have the same recent firmware.
I suggest using an app such as "wifi monitor", to verify if all satellites are active on wifi, and to verify to which satellite the phone is connected.

What I believe is the reason is the different firmwares.
Do you have an advise on how to upgrade the firmware of the 2 new satellites? I try the utility but it tells me "Couldn't find the main deci"

@PierreC83 Is this an issue only with the display of the app, are the two new Deco actually broadcasting the wifi signal, are they used by devices?
To see the Mac address of the Deco (wifi BSSID) used by a device:
- with Windows: "netsh wlan show interfaces"
- with Android, use a "wifi monitor" app
A "wifi monitor" app will show you as well the BSSID of all wifi networks, allowing you to verify which Deco are active on wifi.

@yves_b I will try the command while being close to the 2 new DECO
According the the DECO App, none of the devices are connected to those 2 deco - All the devices are connected to one of the 3 initial Decos
